Birmingham engagement shoot
Jodie and James’ engagement shoot took me away from the hills and fields, and into the industrial landscape of Digbeth in Birmingham. It was such a lot of fun to change things up, and have a play with the stronger style of composition that the abandoned buildings and red brick architecture that Digbeth had to offer, not to mention the street art!
Digbeth street art engagement shoot
I met Jodie and James at Birmingham New Street, from where we headed to the area around the Custard Factory, where there is lots of amazing street art. We spent some time chatting about what they had planned for their wedding (a mexican style fiesta, complete with visiting alpacas), and what their plans were afterwards.
I felt like Jodie and Jame’s Birmingham enagagement shoot was a perfect example of why a pre-wedding shoot is so helpful. To begin with they both seemed a bit camera shy, but with the reality of an urban engagement shoot being that there are going to be onlookers and passersby, we all soon relaxed into it and started to lark about!
