This one was a special one for me, way back when, I introduced the Bride to the Groom! Liam and I had met by chance on a train station platform in Thailand - we were both travelling alone, and having missed his intended train Liam decided on the spur of the moment to join me on the train to Kanchanaburi. A year later, I persuaded him to come to a little festival near Plymouth, where I promptly ditched him with a bunch of people he didn’t know. Fantastic friend, hey? Sorry not sorry though, because one of those friends was Hannah! They met, they drank rum, and eight years later here I was shooting their wedding!
Gants Mill wedding photography in Somerset
Hannah and Liam had chosen a church ceremony followed by a marquee reception in the beautiful gardens of Gants Mill Weddings. After spring has sprung, there’s really no bad time of year for an English country garden wedding, but this weekend in September was just gorgeous! The flowers were a riot of colour, giving oodles of lovely natural wedding photography opportunities; the sun shone; guests mingled outside and kids ran around playing games.
Hannah and Liam were lucky enough to enlist the help of Hannah’s sister, who is a Somerset wedding planner and runs RD Events. She helped them to create a relaxed, whimsical wedding with lots of pops of bright colour (including my personal favourites, two giant flamingos from The Prop Factory).
