I’d been dying to take a couple up to the epic crags of the Stiperstones and Devil’s Chair for ages, and with Harry and Rosie being a pretty adventurous couple who love to travel, it seemed like the perfect location for their Shropshire engagement shoot - an adventure on their doorstep.
Harry and Rosie brought their two lovely dogs with them, and they provided much entertainment and laughter throughout our walk. Dogs are such a brilliant ice breaker and safety blanket for couples who are a bit camera shy - with a pooch in tow I’m pretty much guaranteed to get some lovely natural photos of my couple!
We did a nice loop of the Stiperstones, and took the opportunity to chat about places they’d travelled and where they wanted to go next, and to catch up about the plans for their wedding, (which you can see more of in this blog post).
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - however reluctant my couples are about the whole engagement shoot thing, it really is the best way for us to get to know each other better and get everyone comfortable with being in front of the camera (and beautiful surroundings aren’t essential, but I’ll never say no to field or a hilltop in golden hour).
